Erin Rusler is an American Yogini who—believe it or not—was born into the **Rudrananda Ashram… in Indiana.(Yes, Indiana. Even the heartland has its mystics!) Rooted in the Siddha Yoga traditions of Bhagavan Nityananda of Ganeshpuri, Tibetan Buddhism, and Kashmir Shaivism (Trika), Erin has spent her life walking the path of yoga, healing, and spiritual discovery.
Armed with a Master’s in Science from MIU in Ayurveda, Erin assists a great Vaidya (Indian doctor) and previously ran an Ayurveda clinic for a university. Now, she brings her wisdom to her private practice, Jai Ayur-Yoga, nestled in the heart of Santa Monica, where she’s open for 1-1 consultations and ready to help you find balance, health, and maybe even a little bliss.
Yoga has taken Erin worldwide—training with incredible teachers and exploring diverse methods, techniques, and certifications. She blends ancient traditions with modern Western asana practices, helping you move better, breathe better, and feel better—no matter how “flexible” you think you are (physically or emotionally!).
Erin holds a Master’s in Yoga Studies from Loyola Marymount University and has completed her postgraduate Yoga Therapy Certification. She is currently working on her practicum hours for C-IAYT certification. Besides her private practice, she has taught hot yoga for years and led many 200-HRYTT Yoga Teacher trainings, helping shape and inspire many excellent teachers.
What’s next? Stay tuned—because Erin is always up to something exciting!

Yoga is a great way to improve your endurance and strength. Strength comes from a well-rounded mind-body connection which allows for the true soul to emerge. Flexibility, balance, and strength work together. Yoga will help your body relax while stretching, strengthening, and lengthening the muscles giving you the lean yoga body!
Yoga improves digestion, metabolism, and releases endorphins to relieve anxiety.
Yoga also helps with mindfulness and meditation. It is important to take a break from daily life to focus on yourself and get clarity. Focusing on your breath during practice is key to staying in tune with your mind and body and finding authenticity.

Kashmir Śaivism (Trika "The Trinity")
The trifold philosophy of Trika Shaivism is based on the three goddess energies that sit on the top of Shivas trident. Para in the center as the supreme energy, the knower, the willingness and unity of the energy. Apara (right) is 'that of which is known', the diversity and re-absorption, Parapara (left) is associated with knowledge, unity and stasis..
The practice of waking the stagnant or inferior energy is to progress toward supreme energy. The ultimate aim of Trika is to make the individual feel one with (god) Shiva.
Progression to the highest energy level leads to creativity, collective consciousness and spiritual liberation.
